NEXT STATION 2024

Next Station is a site-specific performance created by dancer Eirini Alexiou and director Katerina Kokkinos-Kennedy. The work explores the abandoned train station of Myloi as a landscape of hidden memory. Alexiou was born in the region of Argos and grew up surrounded by mythological sites, figures and stories. These chthonic elements have been woven through her identity and creative practice. The abandoned railway station of childhood is situated along a trail of performative images. Looking backwards and forwards, returning again and again to places in search of first moments, and personal awakenings. Eirini Alexiou and Katerina Kokkinos-Kennedy created the work for the FICHTI Arts Festival Argos, Greece.
