UNDER SKOV 2024

UNDER SKOV is a performance about our relationship to the green world – forests, trees and the dense mycelial networks that live beneath the forest floor. UNDER SKOV is an invitation to spend time in the forest together, moving and resting in the landscape. Listening. Touching. Being. Walking. Sharing. UNDER SKOV is a site specific and participatory performance where the audience becomes part of the largest natural cooperative network in the world. In and underneath the trees of the forest. Under Skov was created by Secret Hotel in collaboration with Triage Live Art Collective.

Some sounds seem like they are both from the forest and from without: the tiny party nearby, where people laugh tipsily, a group of touring cyclists using their bells, a toddler who just wants to go home already. And maybe also the interventions of our Bluebell guides when they whisper to us, invite us to play unpredictable notes on inverted pinecones (this is delightful; I recommend it to anyone who likes hand-held percussion) or pour steaming tea into charming hand-thrown ceramic cups.
