After the Flood

After the Flood is an immersive sound installation for children and families. The performance imagines how the world might be in 500 years, following The Great Melt. After the Flood features a beautifully lit kelp forest, the voice of a narrator, and a group of children who live on the sea in an entangled community of ships, people, animals and plants. The work focuses on a time of great change, when humans have learned to work together, to collaborate, and to tend to the great kelp forests of the oceans.

AUDIENCE RESPONSES

It was like a dream. I didn’t want it to end.

The fairy tale was so lovely. And it was great to lie down all together and let it wash over us.

I would love to listen to this in my bed every night.

I couldn’t stop thinking about living on the sea with whales and the giant squid.
