Sea Inside 2019

Sea Inside is a site-specific, sound-based walking performance that leads audiences through familiar places and secret spaces in the remote town of Hammerfest, in the Arctic Circle. In the land of the midnight sun audiences experience the extremities of climate: wind, sun, snow, and rain all in quick succession. The town becomes a canvas to explore the effects of isolation, extraordinary landscapes, ancient settlements, roaming reindeer and the impacts of the climate crisis. Sea Inside is a gentle elegy for the now, a portal to a distant past and unknown futures.
