Sea Inside

Sea Inside is a site-specific, sound-based performance that leads audiences through familiar places and secret spaces in the Norwegian town of Hammerfest, in the Arctic Circle. In the land of the midnight sun audiences experience extremities of climate: wind, sun, snow, and rain all in quick succession. The town becomes a canvas to explore the effects of isolation, extraordinary landscapes, ancient settlements, roaming reindeer and the impacts of the climate crisis. Sea Inside is a gentle elegy for the now, a portal to a distant past and unknown futures.
