The Women 2019

The Women is an immersive, site-specific work inspired by the turbulence created by the #metoo movement. The Women grapples with the gender binary, and the violence experienced by women in places where patriarchal norms continue to dominate politics, economics, and societal attitudes. It is indicative of the scale of the problem when one woman is killed every week by an intimate partner in almost all the countries of the world. The Women looks backwards, forwards, and invites audiences to reflect on history, gender ideologies and their personal stories.
